The Jekyll Island Club Hotel has many choices for receptions. The Club Ballroom, which accommodates up to 250 people for a reception and 130 for sit-down meals, opens through four sets of double doors onto the veranda overlooking the Annex Courtyard. Frequently, a bride situates the hors d’ oeuvres and cocktail bar on the veranda, and guests enjoy the opportunity to circulate inside and outside.
For a more intimate setting, the hotel has four event rooms, each of which accommodates thirty people or, used all together, will accommodate 200 people for receptions. The Pulitzer, Federal Reserve, Morgan, Aspinwall and Alexander rooms all have twelve-foot ceilings; some have large bay windows and others, floor-to-ceiling windows that look west over the Marshes of Glynn. The fireplace in each room is accented with an ornate white mantel piece which matches the wainscoting.
Jekyll's beach is magnificent any season. The hotel’s Beach Pavilion, a spacious open-air structure, accommodates 60 people for dinner and 150 for a seaside reception. The beauty of the sea and the sound of the surf provide an exceptional setting for non-traditional, alfresco wedding events or rehearsal dinners.
